Colleen Corlett - Manx Stamp Designer and Artist

Colleen Corlett DipAD ATD MISTD

A full time as an artist for the past forty years, Colleen’s work includes, stamp design, calligraphy, painting, pastels, stained glass, sandblasted glass, ceramics, tapestry, quilting, crochet and embroidery.

A degree which was in graphic design lead to teaching.

This inspired a love of learning, research and problem solving .

Since 1981 the beautiful Isle has offered her so many opportunities.

Fifteen years as the designer for the Isle of Man Post Office and five years teaching evening classes at the Isle of Man College

Best known here for her stamp designs and my illuminated scrolls for Douglas Corporation and Tynwald, two of which have been presented to the Queen, recently she has designed and built two stained glass windows for Arbory Church.

Three earlier windows, sandblasted panels and carved wood framed Calligraphy are in Douglas Town Hall.

She produces prints of her large selection of watercolours and pastels of the Isle of Man and a lot of her original artwork, ceramic and glass can be seen on her Face Book Page Colleen Corlett Design.
