Adele Philips - Adele's Ice Cream

Coke Float Hamper

Adele was born in Scotland but has lived on the Island since she was a child.  She lives in a cottage in Laxey with her boyfriend which is where 4 years ago after the cottage flooded and she was in need of a gift for her step father, (who is an avid ice cream lover!)  she created her first ice cream. Luckily for Adele, her step father and mother loved her recipes so much that they now grant her the use of their house in Douglas to use as a workshop for her wonderful ice cream creations.

In the last 36 months Adele has launched a successful small-business making and selling artisanal ice cream. Each and every tub is hand blended using only an electric whisk with absolutely no factory production involved. All ingredients are purchased on-island and crafted to make a truly indulgent, luxurious treat.

Adele offers traditional flavours along with her own unique creations which include family favourites such as Lemon Meringue, Sticky Toffee Pudding and Cherry Bakewell to name a few. In fact she hand crafts over 40 flavours and always welcomes new ideas.

Adele is “shabby chic” inspired and when she started her ice cream venture had a vision to bring this to the forefront of the business. When her best friend and her husband surprised her with a vintage bicycle, “Adele’s Icicle Bicycle” was born and can be hired for events or seen parked up on Laxey Promenade where she will be selling to the public throughout the summer.
