While attending the Isle of Man College for ‘Foundation Studies in Art & Design’, she discovered her passion for ceramics. Since then, despite holding down a job and dedicating her time to raising a very young family, Jenny has managed to continue to develop her creative skills. Residing in an old stone Manx cottage located in the village of Dalby - built by her husband’s ancestors in the 1800’s – gives Jenny a great sense of local area history. She and her husband invested 3 years into renovating this special property that offers expansive views out over the west coast of the Island from the garden. With close proximity to the picturesque Niarbyl Bay and awe inspiring sunsets, this beautiful and natural setting provides an abundance of stimulation for Jenny’s creative mind's eye. While using subjects found in her own environment, and utilising both nautical and floral themes, Jenny has been experimenting with clay designs. However she anticipates turning her hand to a variety of diverse media in the future!
Jenny’s work can be seen and purchased at the MostlyManx shop in Douglas.
